Hey you all! So I promised to inform you of what I will end up doing with my hair to protect it against Johannesburg’s chilly weather. I know I am a bit late in updating you but I have been so hectic busy with Assignments and my college project. And you know I got a full day job so it has been hectic hey. Anyway, I decided to braid my hair. I know, I know I said I did not really have time on my hands to sit and have them done. As you can see in the pics, I had really chunky/big ones done and it took me about two hours to be done. I also had two ladies working on my hair so that helped with the time concern.
Am I happy with them on my hair? Umm, I can say 50-50. I am relieved I finally managed to hide my hair for winter and also the low manipulation part but you should see my hair now. It’s like I had them done some time last year. You know! Seriously. I just had them on for less than two weeks but I already can’t wait to remove them. This is counter-productive don’t you think? That is the reason I like braids and twists with my own hair because I can just re-do the front with not much worries. So I will be removing them soon anyway and will have to make another plan. Maybe I’ll just go back to twists with my own hair. But the last twists I had stayed normal for only two weeks as well. So I don’t know really. Will see.

I know what u mean iv had my twists 4 2weeks and it looks like 2 yrs worst of all the twists are purple so my hair just really stands out
Hi, I’m afraid of anyone touching my hair at the moment. I have had bad experiences with combs at the salon. I wish I could just braid my hair for the rest of winter, but I know I’ll miss it also.
I can feel you hey. The braids in this post only lasted just over two weeks and I was already missing my hair. I don’t know, natural hair just gives me real excitement on having it out. I know it may not be too good for my ends but it sure feels sooooooo good.
