And I’m back! Happy New Year.

by Evenes Ruth Mafupa

Hey guys! I hope you are doing well and you have had a good start to the year. Well, mine is mixed feelings really because a number of sad things happened but I am also grateful and thankful for a lot and looking forward to what the rest of the year holds. So, before I say anything more, I want to wish you your heart’s desires that they will come to fruition and that you will have good health to allow you to stay focused on your goals and be able to put the work in so that you succeed.

I have not been feeling too well since the beginning of the year and have been in and out of the office to doctors rooms, specialists and all, which is not good considering the financial challenges in January. School stuff expenditure and the whole January story. Who has cash for doctors and specialist visits? That is not a good start to a year right? But I am thankful, we had enough savings to cover all that since we are only on a hospital plan as far as medical insurance or medical aid is concerned. If you would like for me to write a post on how I do my savings so that I have money when I need it, drop me a line or mention it in the comments below.

I am still not 100% well, but I am managing. And, as if that was not enough, my new phone, a Huawei P20 got stolen last Friday. I mean, I was so devastated, I cried. You know people who steal are cruel. Besides not having my phone anymore, how my life was disrupted is just too much. The cancellations and trying to reset everything, going to the bank and my network provider phone shops trying to get my life back together. The pictures that I lost and my notes and all. I fail to understand how thieves justify the need to steal the gains of someone’s hard work. It’s so unfair.

But that is not going to stop me from being happy and look forward to life in abundance and what the year holds. I have planned a lot for this year, as always and since the other years, time has not been on my side, there are a few changes that I have made this year, including taking it slower with my studies and take the extra time to implement what I learnt last year into my business. So, I am looking forward to that. I will still study but may only sit for exams once this year instead of 3 times which is what I did last year and that was hectic. And in other news! We started grade 1 again for the third time and we are settling in really well. My eldest will soon be done with high school and the second born is in his final year of primary school. So we are doing great on that front.

The businesses are doing well and I thank you and my God for that. I thank you for your patronage and how some of you have been my pillars of strength to support me when I am weak or in doubt or simply don’t know what to do. My God for keeping me standing even in tough times and giving me the wins which have come my way time and again. I am so grateful for that. The salon, Nashe Hair Studio, wow! it is doing so well. I never thought that it would be so but here we are. A whole year and some with a thriving salon business. The Nashe Organics side is doing very well as well. We managed to get a few new products on the market in 2018 and looking forward to bringing you even more this year. We can only move forward from here.

Whatever your goal is, do everyday one thing that will get you closer to your goal. Plan, execute, evaluate and plan again, execute and evaluate. Continue that cycle until you get there.

Much love and strength to you.
