Serati in the house. Yeah. I interviewed Serati on this blog and you can read it here and she also wrote a poem on natural hair which was published here as well. She is a real beauty and has a sweet personality, talented and is just a pleasure to be with. I have known Serati for some time now. I think back in 2013. She was part of the first ever Natural Hair meet up hosted by Natural Sisters.
She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa but has lived and was schooled in the US and UK. She is a singer-songwriter, model, and creator of Facebook page Afro Hair In Fashion. She initially created Afro Hair In Fashion as a platform and medium to write about her (and others) experiences being a model with natural Afro textured hair in the fashion industry, however it has grown to encompass much more. Having been natural for 7 years and working in the fashion industry has born within her a passion for embracing our natural inner and outer beauty.
At the Durban Natural Hair Meet Up, she will be presenting on “The Science Of Black Hair.” So if you thought hair was just hair, think again and if you can, join us at Audacia Hotel in Durban as we discuss all things hair. Your questions answered and a chance to hang out with people who understand what you are going through and are on a similar journey to yours.
Durban Naturals, this is your chance. Come meet with the these inspirational, amazing and authentic natural hair bloggers who are putting their energy, time and even money to meet with you so that they can help you have it much easier on your hair journey.
