So I did some mini twists again using Jamaican Mango & Lime Locking Gel which was part of the goodie bag at the 2014 Natural Hair Meet up held in Soweto Johannesburg.
I loved how my hair felt after using the product. My hair felt smooth, moisturised and it definitely has some hold because my twists looked neater as well. It also smells great. The best thing about the locking gel is that it is water based so the moisturising effect is quite high. This resulted in my twists shrinking up of course so if you do not want that effect, best not to use it. It also has Methylparaben as one of the ingredients so if parabens are a concern to you, stay away. (Forgive my thin ends. I am recovering from postpartum shedding)
I mainly like a product depending on how it feels on my hair and how my hair responds to it. So I can say I like the product and would use it again though not so frequent because I like my twists a bit longer. No maximum shrinkage please. Please watch the video to see how my twists came out. Have you used Jamaican Mango & Lime products, please tell me your experience in the comments if you don’t mind.

Where can I find jamaican mango and lime black castor
Dischem my dear
Have they discontinued this product. Have gone everywhere looking for it. I finally found a half empty jar in Hillbrow. Had to take it at a small discount. But I can’t love properly without it. I will not subject my locks to sticky waxes and yucky toffee. I’m trying to find the company details so I can get hold of the stuff. Apparently it’s manufactured locally in city deep. We need gel!!!!!!
I think it’s available in Dischem. The Company is called Professional Products.
Kind regards
Ruth
