Hey you all. I know this has been long in coming but I finally just had to do it. Today, yes today, the 24th of July 2013, Natural Sisters formally announces our sister website, currently the sole sponsors of this blog, Natural Moisture! We have been working on this project for several months now, partly due to public demand, to provide you with products that really work and are compatible with African hair, be it natural or chemically altered.

We however faced some technical glitches with the website here and there, some of which we are still trying to get around but all in all, Natural Moisture is here loves and we look forward to providing you with the best hair care products and real food for your hair from mother nature herself to keep your tresses continuously moisturised and healthy through-out the year.

Natural Moisture’s main products at the moment is Shea Butter, Extra Virgin Hair oils and accessories such as satin scarves, bonnets and pillow cases. The list will most certainly grow longer as the company grows so keep checking us out.

good day
i’m really interested in your products, I have relaxed hair but i want to go natural. which products would you recommend?

Ruth Mafupa 25 July 2013 - 08:09

Hi Lolo. All of the products are appropriate for transitioning to natural hair. However, you will need other products to compliment these like your conditioner and shampoo. How you handle your hair will also help a lot to give you a healthy transition. Our products can also be used on relaxed hair which also needs moisture to thrive.

Hi Ruth, I have a few queries. Can I direct my questions about the products to the sales@natmoisture.co.za email address, or is that strictly for orders?

Ruth Mafupa 8 August 2013 - 06:11

You can address your queries to the same email address which is sales@natmoisture.co.za or natsis27@gmail.com

Hi Ruth, I am very interested in Shea butter, I’m in cape town. Do you have any agents in cape town?

Ruth Mafupa 15 August 2013 - 08:31

Hi Nicole, South African orders are done from our main office in Johannesburg. You can email sales@natmoisture.co.za your order and delivery address and we will invoice you and then send it to you anyway in South Africa

Hi Ruth. I tried transitioning to natural hair from relaxed, but I gave up because it was taking too long. I would like to try again. Which hair products would you recommend for me pls? I stay in Pretoria. Thanks, Lebo

Ruth Mafupa 26 August 2013 - 06:25

Hi Lebo. For a healthy transition, you will need a lot of deep conditioning, protective styling and a lot of moisture. For deep conditioning, add a teaspoon or more of Natural Moisture extra virgin olive oil 4 hair to your conditioner, preferably a silicon free conditioner. You can then use the Shea butter deep moisturizing hair butter to seal the moisture and keep your hair manageable. You can also use castor oil, extra virgin coconut oil 4 hair in you deep condition or on your water spritzed hair everyday to keep the moisture levels up. Put your hair away in a protective style when you feel overwhelmed.

My personal experience with natmoisture products (am transitioning from relaxed to texlaxed hair)…on the left is the before picture (hair was thin and lacked volume) and on the right is the after picture (notice the volume and health 🙂 )

Wow. Your hair looks awesome. Thanks for sharing Nyasha.

Hello! Please help l have natural hair and naturally my hair is thin has no volume and it does not grow long, my scalp was also damaged due to hair colour. I would like to know which product would you recommend for please.

Many thanks

Pretty

Ruth Mafupa 4 April 2016 - 11:23

Hi Pretty. It’s difficult to recommend any products without seeing the condition of your hair right now. All I can say is, deep conditioning as often as you can to get your moisture levels up and nurture your scalp back to health. Massage it with coconut oil or any oil that is beneficial for restoring damaged skin.
